			Dr. Weiland has devoted his professional career to enhancing the personal care that patients receive before, during and after cosmetic surgery. Along with his surgical and artistic skills, Dr. Weiland believes that cosmetic surgery is as much an emotional issue as it is a physical one. His sensitivity and caring approach to the concerns of his patients are compelling personal traits that have made him one of the most popular and trusted cosmetic surgeons everywhere he has practiced. Dr. Weiland earned a B.A. in Physics, Mathematics and German at prestigious Wabash College in Crawfordsville, Indiana. He went on to earn a M.D. from Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis in 1982. After medical school, he completed a General Surgery Residency at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati and a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Residency at the Medical College of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In 1990, Dr. Weiland founded The Plastic Surgery Group of Central Illinois, Ltd., the largest plastic surgery practice in Illinois outside Chicago. There, he also served as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Southern Illinois University. Dr. Weiland and his family relocated to Las Vegas in 1997 to establish The Weiland Group.
